I have questions about download, installation and general usage.
We have a common FAQ page here. It should answer most of your questions.

What is Mermaid Multisource?
Mermaid Multisource Broadcaster allows you to broadcast any audio/video source (all that we have tested on) connected to your computer, including the computer screen to the whole world or your select friends. This broadcast can be received using the Mermaid Multisource Reciever(s).

What do I need to do to broadcast?
Let’s say you want to broadcast your webcam and mic just select them in the dropdowns. Adjust their properties if you need to, especially your mic settings if you have put it on mute by mistake. And click broadcast. If you need to change the transmission screen size just do that.

If you have a composite source (which has video & audio in one signal) like your tv tuner card then it will show up only in the top dropdown. You can ignore the second dropdown. And hit broadcast. If the source has channels then a channel selection box will appear after you hit broadcast and you can change channels also.

When I broadcast I don’t hear the sound?
That’s by design. The broadcaster will only show video being broadcasted. The sound is also going but it won’t be heard from the broadcaster. The receiver will play both sound and video.

The video is choppy. What should I do?
If you and your friends on the network have abundant bandwidth you should decrease the key frame time delay which by default is 500 ms to something like 100ms and the quality of video playback will improve here, have a look.
