I have questions about download, installation and general usage.
We have a common FAQ page here. It should answer most of your questions.

What is Mermaid Movie?
Mermaid Movie Broadcaster allows you to broadcast a folder full of WMV movie files to the whole world or your select friends. This broadcast can be received using the Mermaid Movie Reciever(s).

What do I need to do to broadcast?
Ammm…. Well you need a Phd in Theoretical Physics. That’ll take about 4 years or so. Once you’ve done that, just click on broadcast --> select a movie folder where your movies are, and start broadcast. What? Which university? ammm... Princeton is fine, MIT will do too.

Watch the videos here.

The video received is a bit choppy.
Well if you’re on a decently fast network, and a reasonably good computer, the default settings of timing and width/height might not be OPTIMAL for you. You can “Scale up” the performance by lowering the timing and pressing Enter. Same thing for resolution. We did this in this video here, have a look here, have a look.

Hey! My friends wanna watch my broadcast… What do they need to do?
First they need to beg you to give them an invite/ or your network details. We recommend making them cluck like a chicken and then doing a hula dance. That way you’ll never run out of good home-made movies to broadcast. Then once they have the invite or network details, they can just start their receivers and watch. Oh yeah… they need to choose a user-id. Again… anything is fine.

Hey! My Video's don't work what do I do?
You should convert all the movies you want to broadcast into WMV format. No, you don't have to pay any money for any software. You can do it with the Free! with Windows Media Encoder 9 series. Click here to goto the Microsoft Windows Media Encoder Main page. Or here  if you directly want to goto the download page if you are using Windows XP 32Bit or Windows Vista 32Bit (The most common operating systems). Or here if you directly want to goto the download page if you are using Windows XP 64Bit or Windows Vista 64Bit.

After installing goto Start->Windows Media->Windows Media Encoder and then select "Convert A File" If you are unable to broadcast any movie you should convert it to WMV format. Sometimes movie files are falsely named something.wmv when they are some other format inside them. They won't run. So you have to convert those files too.
