I have questions about download, installation and general use.
We have a common FAQ page here. It should answer most of your questions.

What is Mermaid Meeting?
Mermaid Meeting is a collaborative Peer to Peer software to enable meetings between peers on the LAN or on the Internet. It allows text chat, audio/video transmissions, screen sharing etc by multiple people at the same time. Watch more in the videos section

What do I need to do to broadcast audio and video?
Click on Broadcast menu and a window will open up. Please select your audio/video device and a unique name for the channel. (Unique amongst all the names you are using for your channels) adjust properties and click broadcast.

One broadcast window can only broadcast one signal which can be either audio or video (including screen). So if you want to broadcast multiple audio/video/screen channels you have to do the above that many number of times.

Broadcast doesn’t club an audio signal with a video signal.

Do I need a unique User ID?
Yes! All the participants in the Meeting are identified by their User Id’s. All Meeting participants should have unique user id’s in the context of the meeting they are participating in. Keep email as the User Id to prevent weirdness.

What about file transfer?
Just click on Send File and browse select the file and that’s it. The speed of transfer depends on the bandwidth. Also, Please note that you cannot choose which of the meeting peers the file goes to. Any file transfer will be received by all the peers in the meeting. here, have a look.
